Hey all, newbie with probable newbie question so be nice pleez. I just acquired a 97 Civic DX with manual tranny and the thing has no tach. What options do I have as far as installing an instrument cluster that has one? Are there any laws that would prohibit me from swapping guage clusters (ie: odometer tampering)? I've been turning wrenches for a long time on jeeps, but am new to the import mod scene so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Get a 96+ EX cluster. Swap out odometers. Problem solved.

 

you can swap one in from a 96-00 EX, SI, CTR, SIR, CRV, (did I forget any guys?) They all plug and play, your car is prewired for a tach.

Also, search next time.

I have a question, if you have a DX and put an SI tach in, your redline will be below whats on the gauge right?
