Bent valve what you guys think?
Alright i believe i have a possible bent valve but im not 100% sure so i wanna see if you guys come up with the same thing i did.
About 3 months ago my timing belt jumped and i replaced it, but at the time it went i was gunning it on the highway doing about 70 in 5th gear. My mechanic at the time told me i had a bent valve and we did a compression test in each cylinder and 1 was below normal so it kinda backed up the bent valve. My car felt a little weak but before we replaced it my car started running fine, not as strong but fine, my idle was a little weak and would start bogging a little. Took it to a friends shop and we checked each cylinder again and they were actually all fine so since ive left it alone, but my idle sometimes drops pretty low. The idle could possibly be a leak in one of my vacuum hoses but i suspect that maybe i did bend a valve, the car just isnt running as strong as it was.
What you guys think? Bent valve? Vacuum leak?
My oil pressure seems fine and im not running lean either.

is this the stock engine in the car if it is take it as a blessing and save up for that B16 if its already swapped pull the head and do a inspection of the valves and replace if needed BTW IMO get the helms manual and do this yourself it is a good learing experince if its your olny car you will be able to do this in a weekend if you have any mechincal ability. Best of luck
You don't have to take off you head to check for a bent valve. Just take off the Valve cover and check the valve stem heights, when the cam isn't pressing on the valves the valves should be the same height if not then you have a bent valve.
I dont remember the numbers exactly, it was about 3 months ago. But im gona check a couple of things this weekend, probably do another compression test. I got some backpressure too, a little too much so it may be that my cat is clogged, ill check everything out this weekend.
Just wanted to get some opinions, itll be my spare motor if i blow the ls turbo. Ill probably tear the motor down once its out of the car, im a little curious about this sohc zc.
