YET ANOTHER MPFI QUESTION
This is the entire engine harness from a DX converted to MPFI by HCP.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by PATCH »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
1) Injector resistor box
2) Plug into chassis harness on drivers side
3) Wire into ECU for 2 extra injectors for MPFI swap
4) Injector plugs
5) IACV
6) IAT sensor
7) TPS
8) Thermoswitch
9/10) Alternator
11) Oil pressure idiot light
12) Main distributor plug wires, missing two for some reason
13) Coil wires
14) Temperature sensor (instrument cluster)
15) O2 sensor
16) Reverse lights
17) Coolant temperature sensor (ECU)
18) Plugs into chassis harness at passenger side
19) Starter solenoid 'S' terminal
</TD></TR></TABLE>
These two wires go to the ECU?..some reason, they will not reach. Not really even close.

I believe I understand ,but need confirmation. I would need to get a distributor plug from a Si for these wires and run another 2 from the ECU? Including the white wire?

Last is about the oil breather and the undersideconnection to the intake manifold. Not mating up to the D16a6 IM. Pics on this tonight. Thanks to Patch and everyone else for all the help. I went to Fourthgenerationhatch's site and got most of the vaccuum stuff situated. Thanks in Advance.

You have to extend those wires yourself... looks like they put crimps on there for you to connect extra wire to the length you want it to be.... Just cut those off and solder then heatshrink those wires. The two wires look like Signal wires for the extra two injectors. There should be those and two new wires for the Distributor a blue/green stripe and a blue/yellow stripe. Looks like you will be running those yourself as they are not in your pics. It isnt that hard to do... just follow fourthgenhatch's instructions, his stuff was the most detailed of any documents I came across.
For the distributor, you can either get an si plug off of an si harness, or just cut and solder them directly to the distirbutor, but then you will have to do this everytime you want to remove the distributor/engine/etc.
I dont know about the breather... someone else?
Good luck man.

All of those free wires don't appear to have ecu pins crimped on them. They appear to be distributor/main engine harness pins because of the crimped on black rubber seals. Are you sure you are interpreting things correctly?

They are definitely pins for going into plugs.
I can't tell from the pics, but there are probably the DX connectors on the harness still.
The Si distributor plug has 2 more pins than the DX. Get the right connector and that should take up the spare wires.
The other 2 wires that go to the ECU can probably be inserted into an SI plug OR just cut them off and solder some extra wire. The Si plug probably has a couple more pins than the DX does.
Try calling HCP and find out EXACTLY what they do that for.

From fourthgenhatchs site: I am looking to find where the blue/green fits on the underside of the manifold. I believe it goes to the oil breather, but does not link up. Anyone?

Thanks to fourthgenhatch for the helpful writeup.

when you run those wire pictured above, see that metal mesh surrounding the wiring, those are shielded wires and are sensitive to EMI (electromagnetic interference). so make sure to use shielded wiring when you extend them, all you do is ground the mesh and it is rendered "shielded". good luck
