I am close to commiting to put the si rack in my cx, if i take out the power steering will it be close to being the same. I have read on this message board(yes i did search, before someone goes all crazy and tell me to search) that takin out the power steerin makes it a little harder to steer. But other than that,im fine right??? thanxpeople.

 

I would take the power steering out, the difference is minimal. I have a 92 hatch manuel and a coupe with power. I drive the hatch as a commuter (80 miles a day) and if it was hard to turn I would be driving the coupe instead. Plus a little less weight and one less belt for the motor to turn it must add a little bit of power to your ride. I have swapped rack and pinions before its kind of a pain but I have swapped different years (between 92-95 civic\hatch\coupe) and all were a straight swap no mods needed. So I dont see a problem with putting an si rack on your hatch. Good luck
