Hi,

This is my first post, so i wish to have your usual support

My accord V6 2001 automatic gear (50K mile) has some problems which I want to ask about:

First question is in my gearbox, there is a weird sound (make the whole car shake) appears ONLY when the car moved for 20+ min. (it doesn’t appear when I first started the car or when it is still not warm). this sound appear when I shift the gear from the R to the D. is there anyone knows what happened to my car?

Second Question is that the SRS light always appears for me, i sent it to the agency many times and every time they say that they fixed the problem, but unfortunately it appears again. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

when you shift from R - D are you on a hill or angle?

and with the SRS try looking at a few threads on recalls... theres a link that shows you if you car has been recalled for something if you sign your vin in, and even if you brought it many times... demand they fix it if its under warranty.

Ans: No, and i have been told that the gearbox has to be override (sorry, i don't know the correct word) which is a big decision to make.

about the SRS i will search for it.

If you're not on an incline, hard shifting even from Reverse to Drive might be due to a bad transmission. I suggest you go to Honda and have them check out the transmission. They should do it free since you have an 01 and 01's are under the transmission warranty.
