Default Harsh ride..*** bruiser!!

Yeah I got great shocks/struts (tokico illluminas 5 way adjustable) but my adjustable Dropzone springs are providing a ride similiar to that of a Mexican space shuttle. Harsh to say the least; not to mention I bet they will wear out my illuminas faster.

Anybody suggest a spring- adjustable preferred- that is not too expensive and gives a good ride AND still allows for great handling?

I suggest you junk those dropzones and get some Groundcontrols

I would say skunk2... haha i know what you mean about the mexican space shuttle..when i first got my illuminas i had some crap *** coilovers and omg..i never stopped flying out of my seat..thats why im using progress springs rite now. Skunk2 rides pretty well and handles well.

hmm, okay. Great ideas so far. What do you guys think about eibach? I'm only looking for a 1- 1/2 in drop. No more.

if you are looking at eibach and only a 1-1/2 inch drop then why not just get the eibach pro-kit? Its not adjustable, but i don't see why you would need an adjustable setup if you are only lowering it that much.

I'm not sure what the Mexican space shuttle comment was all about, but you can usually find quite a few springs in the classifieds, especially for 92-UP Civics.

I found ground controls webiste somewhat confusing. Which ones do I need? Plus I kinda get the impression theirs dont have a good ride. And by good ride I mean my head not hitting the roof on the bumps like I currently do.

If you only want a 1-1.5" drop you should get the Tociko springs that are made to go with those shocks. Obviously it will still be a somewhat stiff ride, but your head won't be bouncing off the ceiling. The definatly eliminate most body roll as well (don't mind the cone killing. I had this Egyptian girl yacking in my ear through the whole run).

Yeah. Illuminas with Tokico springs and a front upper strut bar. More will be done to stiffen the chassis...eventually. I'm happy for now.

just get the TEIN Super Streets .... adjust the stiffness to about 3 (almost very stiff) and youll wonder where these coilovers have been all your life

GC's use purpose-built Eibach springs. You can fine-tune them by swapping out springs for lighter or heavier rates. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

mexican space shuttle LOL

i say go with some springs, it is my experience that coilovers, unless you have true coilovers, dont give you the ride quality and performance you want

i would take springs over sleeve overs anyday, i swear by nuesped races

I love my H&R sport springs. That's what I'd recommend. (I have Skunk2 coilovers on my Prelude but only because it came with them.)

I have illuminas as well, set on stiffness of 3. I have H&R Race springs, lowers the front 2.5" and the rear 2.25".....rides nicely

I've only met a handful of egyptian girls and all were hotter than hell.

Eibachs are good but overpriced. You can get better springs for cheaper. Just go with Ground Controls. They might be more expensive but definately better than Eibach and Dropzone IMO.
