if you're really concerned about the mileage you could have a compression test done, but 6500 for a 5th gen doesnt sound too bad - 135k on a honda motor shouldnt be a dealbreaker for you. good luck
Take the car to you local honda dealer and get the 60 point "check for resale" done.
Its the inspection they do to all their certified used cars before they sell them. I believe it costs about 50.00 bucks but it will give you peace of mind about buying the car. You may also be able to get the seller of the vehicle to chip in for it?
Just FYI it may be a honda, but an abused engine is an abused engine. You need to throughly check the vehicle over before you buy it. You just might be buying someone elses problem.

KEVIEEROH, obviously in any car that you buy, your PURPOSE for buying should be the deciding factor. You shouldn't just go out and buy a Honda cuz some dude on a forum says his lasted more than 200k miles. If you're a family man, have two kids, and your other car is a beater and for the wife, buying a prelude might not be practical. If you're young, single, and want a car to drive to work or school and want to enjoy driving, and gas mileage, rear seat room, etc mean nothing to you, then yes, if you take care of it, you shouldn't encounter any problems. Look the car over. Can you see yourself driving this car? Drive it. Feel it. Will you develop a passion for the way this car glides sown the road? I'm rather thin, and my interior fits me like a glove. Sit in it. Are you comfortable? Look at the lines of the car, is it a means to get you where you need to go, or is it more? Start looking at other Honda's and compare them and this Prelude to other vehicles. Check the craftsmanship, quality, and ergonomics to other vehicles. To me, and my purpose for driving, 6500 is a GREAT value. Decide for yourself whether it is for you, or whether you think you can find a better all around car, if one exists for that price. Go to a Honda dealer and pick up a brochure and read just the first page. Building cars is more than just a business. It's a passion that isn't taken lightly. It's this idea in mind that instills in me a sense of pride for what I drive.
