Default hatch struts, which are highest quality?

Ok so I need new hatch struts,
(like the glass trunk opening not suspension)

basically ima go to either pepboys, autozone, or kragen,

i'd prefer getting ones that arent just going to blow out after a while,
so does anyone have any recommendation as to which of these places is best?

also might be able to go to napa, theres like one small one around here..
dunno if they carry that tho, they're tiny.

LMK thnx!

If I were you, I'd go with stockers. I think they're Showa, the same company that makes badass stock suspension for sportbikes [CBR's, etc.]

from the dealer those are 80 bucks a peice. I need some new ones as well but don't want to pay 160 from the dealer. I'm interested as well to a more cost effective alternative to the dealership.

yeah, of course the dealer ones are gonna be the sh*t,
and i'd rather have those.

but they're way too expensive,
might be able to find used ones.. but finding them wouldnt be that ez i imagine,
and then who knows how much life they have in them?

SOooo, back 2 the original question.

isn't if u buy it from kragen, pep boys, or autozone they have a lifetime warranty??? freaking everthing there mostly is a lifetiime warranty lol like the brakes, shocks, alternator, axels, u name it, and all that other stuff they sell. just get the the ones from there and if they break take em off and return them for new ones for free, thats what i did with my alternator that went out ^_^.

does that help with ur decision? hehe

good chance that all the generic places carry the same brand of replacement hatch struts. might be worth a look...
