alarm works then doesn't, works and again doesn't, whats wrong??
i have a clifford alarm and it was working fine for a month, then one day when i armed the car none of buttons on the remote worked, i couldn't unarm it. few hours later i pushed the buttons and it was working fine again, however now the samething has happened, what is wrong with my alarm? also the light on the remote works when i push a button, remote has a new battery, and alarm antenna is long and looks like its in good condition. if you know the problem please let me know, thanks.

</TD></TR></TABLE> I would say wireing, although over the net its very hard to say, try this, the next time it doesn't work with remote, use the override/ program switch and see if it will turn off the alarm, [if tripped] or put alarm into valet;[if not armed]
If this works you have a problem in the remote or the rf section of the alarm, if not you have a problem with the alarm wireing or the alarm itself.

Sounds like you've got one of those Clifford remotes with a flat lithium battery. Sometimes, poor contact in the remote will still flow enough current to turn on the LED but not enough to actually send the signal to the alarm.
I would check two things. Since you've put in a new battery, check the solder joints on the opposite side of the circuit board. Sometimes the solder holding the battery clip will wiggle loose. Also, check the gold contacts where the remote touches the battery. If you see black or darkened build up, carefully scratch it clean with a small flat head screwdriver.
