Need an answer for my civic JDM swap
Well I ended up buying one of those engines from JSPEC engines. It didn't come with the ECU and I ended up buying one from a 95 Civic VTEC. My Mechanic says it wont work because of the emissions crap that the ECU has but the engine doesn't. Please tell me this isn't true they are to damn expensive after the price of a B16A JDM. for my 94 Civic HB CX. HELP!!!!! mason
What year is the motor? If it's a 88-91 B16a, you can have your 95 ecu reprogrammed for $150 and use a proggy for that gen motor.
If the motor is from a 92-95 Civic, you'll be fine but again, I'd get the ecu reprogrammed for the B16a motor so your vtec switchover and redline is higher.
http://www.jdmhondaparts.com can do the ecu tuning.....
