what are the positves and negatives of a GSR motor and a Type R motor?
Yea.. im gettin a hatch and I wanted to know the differences of a gsr and type r motor...which engine is more reliable and can also put out more power?...can more things be done to a gsr motor then a type r motor? help me outttttt

2 grand's a pretty noticeable difference. **** thats an exhaust and new cams. or half way to a very complete very nice tuned turbo setup. however watever engine u pick (even if LS) u should at least try to get an ITR tranny

a type r motor is basically a suped up gsr motor
the bore and stroke is the same
the itr has high compression pistions, bigger cams, dueal valve springs on the exhaust side, lighter intake valves, pp head, single stage im
