Default LS TURBO or H22 In An EG???

I was lookin to spend around 4gs. I dont know a lot about forced induction but i do know the basics. I was wonderin which would be faster with the same amount of money spent....The 4gs is including the swap and the cost of the turbo.

Yikes...good luck. Your choices are Turbo B18 and N/A H22? You'll be cutting it damn close on both.

When all was said and done, I spent about $1700 on the B18A swap and getting it in my car.

That would leave you $2300. If you are very smart about it, you might be able to piece together a proper and decent turbo setup for that much...but you're going to have to bargain shop and know your ****...probably going to need to run Uberdata and tune yourself with that kind of budget. Then you better hope nothing goes wrong with your setup, like a tired piston ring land giving out.

You can get a full USDM B18b swap for under $1000. $3000 for a turbo would be easy. Uberdata is better than Hondata anyways.

Where? Show me and I'll go buy one right now. I'm talking shipping included, and the cost of all the little **** to get it in my car.

Also...$3K is just begining to get together a decent turbo kit...I'd say closer to $4K for something worth having.

Boosted LS would be easier to get HP and high HP.

You can't do either right with only 4gs.

Boosted LS guaranteed... When well tuned a stock LS Bottom can hold over 250 hp, try making that on an H22, it will cost a lot more than what you have to spend. As far as a full swap, I am talking about going to a junkyard and pulling it. My friend got a longblock B18b for $600 from a junkyard last week. A $3000 turbo kit not being decent? Don't make me go through a list of parts totalling it up.

T3/T4: $450
Intercooler: $250
Piping: $200
Injectors: (DSM) $50
Uberdata: Free, get someone to burn you a basemap for $15
Exhaust mani and exhaust: $1000
Oil lines: $80
Ex Wastegate: $200
BOV: $50 (DSM)

I'm forgetting stuff, but that kit will put down 250 hp at 10 psi and is well under $3000.

EDIT: Clutch: $300

Yes, my friend turboed his LS integra with this type of kit and it has been running fine on an Uberdata basemap for the past year. No problems, reliable, and very fast.

FYI: A stock boosted Ls wouldn't have an intake, how big of an exhaust do you mean? And it depends on what header (singular) you get.

Boost a B18B to 10 psi and the dyno tune it to 12 psi ............ Stock LS are the **** and now think after modding it!
