Default need to know where the grond on the alternator goes...

the ground wire on the alternator is all corroded so i was going to hook up a wire that is good... but i dunno where that ground wire goes.. it disapears into the main harness
anyone know?

that single wire on the alternator with a ring terminal is not a ground wire. It goes into the main harness and connects to the positive terminal of the battery.

mileage?
All alternators using rubber bushings or washers must use a short ground wire to bridge the insulated area. This,as I recall, is what the '97 uses; but the unit could be grounded directly to the battery or the frame. Then the engine is grounded to the frame and the battery.
