Default LS or GSR tranny

Will an LS clutch, flywheel, and LSD fit into a GSR tranny? Im looking at either upgrading to a GSR tranny or just getting a new LS tranny

All of those hydro B series parts will interchange in those transmissions like Dax said. I don't know what your engine/car combination is but the GSR trans is good investment over the LS trans IMO

**the LSD is not interchangeable though**

I thought an LS LSD was interchangable w/ B16, and a GSR LSD was interchangable w/ type R?

You cannot put any B-series tranny parts in other B-series tranny's.

LS and B16
GSR and Type R

THAT IS CORRECT!

Why? I was under the assumption that the guts were pretty much the same. I know that some B-series transmissions use those two piece bearings [which suck], but you can change those to the one piece bearings.

I have an LS trans that needs rebuilt if you want it. also, depending on what you're doing, the LS trans may be better. if you've got serious power, I recommend the LS. I put that in my tegra and it's a really badass gear set on the highway.

Ive got an LS tranny right now, that just needs a 1st to 2nd synchro and it would be fine. THanks for the offer though. Anyone 100% sure about whether or not I can use a LS clutch/flywheel/LSD with a GSR tranny w/o changing anything around?
