Seatbelt question for all you G2 OWNERS...
My friend's G2 is having some problems with the seatbelt. He told me that his seatbelt light blinks and beeps repeatedly while he is driving. But once he opens the door, it stops beeping. So you can all probably imagine how annoying it would be to be driving while you car is constantly beeping. He called me and asked me for help but I have no idea what the problem might be so I figured I'd ask on H-T. Anyone?
my only beeps for about 5 seconds after i unhook the automatic seatbelt. so it would be something wrong in where you hook the seatbelt up to it. i think...i've never heard of that but sometimes my seatbelts get stuck and the passenger won't be able to get out(kinda funny sometimes). i hope that kinda helped

Really? Was it a recall?

There is something wrong with the automatic mechanism most likely.. Its a free fix from Acura because safety restraints have a lifetime warrenty no matter what.. I dont know if thats a law or just Honda/Acuras policy but they do fix any seatbelt problems for free.

Cool, my friend just stopped by and I took a look at his 93 GSR and it is completely bone stock. So he shouldn't have a problem at Acura then. I'll have him take it to Acura and see what happens. Thanks a lot guys!

What has to be untouched? The car as a whole?
Are you saying they wont fix your seatbelt if you have an intake? I doubt it..

He means that you can't have the seatbelt assembly unassembled, 2 screws stripped, the belt put back on backwards, etc. In other words, if something goes wrong with your seatbelt, don't try to fix it yourself, take it to acura and let them deal with it, because if they see you tampered with it, they will charge you for the repairs.

Yea, you know the dealer doesn't want to give away free labor, so make sure not to give them a chance to blame it on you.

yup, take it to the dealer, they'll fix all
also it could be the seat belt sensor or the belt isnt all the way down the track, it might look like it, but there could be something jammed in the way so it wont go the rest of the way.
the rubber lining that the seatbelt track runs between is nitorious for drying out and breaking off into the track.. i had the same problem with mine, and they just cleaned it and it worked fine
just remember, any saftey feature such as seat belts, are a lifetime warranty no matter how old the car is

all cars, cuz its a safty issue.. thats the last thing any company wants is for some accident to happen and the seatbelt fails to do what its supposed to, and someone dies..
