One of my co-worker's is willing to sell his '86 CRX for $35.00 and a case of beer. Should I buy it?

I was thinking I could really get it to look pimped out eventually cuz the body is in decent shape although the exhaust is hanging and it leaks some oils.

Yes at least you can have fun this car. 1G's are great.

There is a Crx form by the way.

 

If it runs, buy it, and take it offroading. If hes selling it for 35 dollar I'm guessing it has some sort of serious damage.

 

if this isnt a bs post.. i say go for it.. but Pimped out i wouldnt say... i say buy it and spend enough $$ for a daily beater... other then that i wouldnt count on much.

You should have put this in the crx/ef civic forum they would probably be able to tell you what to look for a little easier then this forum can.

depends on the condition and what you want out of it. I don't know what you mean by "pimped out" but you can make a 1st gen CRX look pretty good

im pretty sure that not a body kit.. that looks like factorybody styling.. i built one of those.. and really the only kit I could find is a mugen.. (someone else may know of another) and that took me 6 months to get it.. looked pretty nice tho..

 

My first and second cars were both 1g CRX's (85 Si and 87 HF)
I say go for it... I mean, if it runs... for $35 what can you lose?

Yeah Marcus (aka Mr Heeltoe) had the hoods made mainly for his car, and a few others as well. I think there were only about 10 made or something. Nice quality too!
