if you have ABS its prolly not going to work... the filter sits right were the abs unit is on integras. j's makes a abs version though if you want the real thing...
the one for the D-series doesn't fit if you have ABS.
you simply cannot just put an extension on, because the shape of the intake will not allow it to clear the ABS, nor does it clear the dizzy wires very well.
unfortunately, you either must buy the top fuel or J's one, until someone comes out with a fake one *ahem any sponsors/fabricators reading this*
even though, if you call dragracing.com , they will tell you the '96+ civic one fits... they LIE.

i want either a AEM CAI or a AEM short Ram...which is better ? i did a search and found nothing on if the AEM CAI with a bypass valve will higher my chance of getting water in it???
the bypass valve on the cai should -lower- your chances of hydrolock. anyways, i have a fake j's in my civic. it mates up fine with my b18b w/ stock TB. its a little tight around the dizzy housing and it fits nicely right behind the headlight. i wish i could comment on the sound but i've runnin open header for over a month now

either setup is fine. a bypass valve decreases the possibility of hydrolock, but only a short ram is almost 100% safe. i think the best intake, in my opinion, is the one that is the most insulated from engine temps, such as the mugen design or comptech airbox. but honestly, that's just me.
