SAFC II Problems on D16a6 with PM6
Anyone ever installed an SAFC II on this combination (D16a6 + PM6 ECU)? Cr ais a 91 Si.
I tried, but I'm having some issues. I will triple check my wiring, but when I start the car up it idles very, very poor. And every time I give it gas, it seems to reset the SAFC II (goes back to the title screen when the throttle is pushed).
Other than my wiring, anything else to look out for? Did I perhaps not follow the pinout directions correctly (I did what was listed in the Apexi manual) and I left the pink and blue wire not hooked up.
Thanks.

my thoughts are double triple and check check check the wiring something is def off on that if ts resetin the afc. other than that make sure you set it up right(car type & throttle selection)
Settings I did:
4 cylinder
pressure
06, 06
arrow to the 2 o'clock position
I was doing the two stars for the throttle and the settings wouldn't even save.
All of ths sound correct?

Manual shows it as a PR-6. How do you determine it is a 01, 01? Pr = pressure and 6 = 06...or so I thought.
Are the other settings correct, though?

I tried the 01, 01 setting and the Safc won't save that setting. The only setting it seems to want to save is 06, 06.
Since I don't know the default behavior of this device, I'm not sure what's going on.

Nope. Just making the changes then turing the ignition key off. The device only wants to save certain settings it seems. It just won't accept 01, 01.

Are you sure your wiring is correct? There are only like 4 or 5 wires you need to hook up, because you are not turbo or anything. Just make sure you read the plugs right on the harness. It's easy as hell to hook up.
Since they do not have a diagram for the pm6, you need to find out where the same wires are at on your ecu that they call for in the booklet that has all the different ecu's. TPS, O2, etc......

Would it be the same as a 86-89 Integra or something like that? I used the wiring for an EF8 (88-91 Civic with B16a). Perhaps this is where my problem is...

just use the wiring for the car it should be like H-1 or something but thats the right diagram you sure you looked at the conectors at the right view. just go back over it again. something has to be wrong in the wiring
the ecu is not the same but unless you changed wiring in the car thats all you go by is the car wiring diagram. doesnt matter what ecu it is the same diagram is used for my 89 si with b16 as it is on my 92 vx with b18b and was the same on my 90 teg with b16a and i used the same one on my buddies crx with stock motor the ecu makes no difference as long as you use the diagram for your car it should work if you keep having probs then un hook it completely and see how it runs
