Default Throttle Position Sensor Wiring

Upon installing my latest mod, i was required to use a different type of throttle position sensor, so i had to splice in a new connector on the harness side. Simple enough. So i took a look at the wiring diagram and it seemed simple enough. Here is what i have to work with so far. This is a view of the new throttle position connector next to the stock honda wiring diagram.

So this is the way i figured it should be wired up.

Now, when i run the car at closed throttle hondalogger states im at 95% throttle, as i rev, the number drops in percentage. So basically, somethings backwards. But looking at the diagram i dont see what it could be. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Using a DVOM i measured the voltage at the ecu and where i should be getting .45v at closed throttle, im getting near reference voltage, right around 4.6v. As i depress the throttle, the voltage drops to around 1.3v. Thats the opposite of what it should be doing! If i accidentally switched the ground and +5v wires, would this be a symptom?

reverse power and ground, put like a 5 amp fuse on the power and try it that way

Im not going to do that unless im sure that reversing them in the first place would have caused this symptom.

Is that pic of the connector from the wire side or pin side?

If its from the pin side, then its backwards.

Good point. I assumed it was from the connector side. Im just going to reverse the + and - and see what happens.

Ok, just got done and thats what it was. I reversed the + & - cuz i was looking at the diagram upside down, so to speak. Now it reads right where it should. What a rookie!
