How do i make my car go faster?
i have a 99 prelude, i wanted to know, how could i increase my hp without spending thousands of dollars? i was thinking pistons, heads, valvs. and all that stuff but when i added everything up it was like 3k i have $1000 to kill. what can i do?
Serach.
CAI, header full exhaust and pulleys would get you around 15-30 hp and thats around $1000-1400.
your best bet would be nitrous or save up for a turbo kit.

You can reach very fast speeds in a number of ways.
1. Bridge: drive as fast as you can and fly off of a bridge
2. Cliff: High cliffs yeild the best results
3. Attach your car to a nuclear missle.
4. 800 shot of naws
5. The best one: Super speed!!!! Brand new, some *** name dustin created it. Works like a champ

even off a high cliff, after you reach terminal velocity, you cant fall any faster without some sort of propellant.

Yea, I'd put a couple heads on the engine... maybe do like 2-3 pistons, and 6-7 valves and you should be good to go.

holy crap did everyone take crazy pills today?
Anyways do some searching around and ask more specific questions about mods. Intake, header, exhaust and pullies, and v-afc are common first mods.

he's a n00b, give em a chance
if you wan't a big power adder for cheap, just run nitrous.
but be prepared to spend big money if you jack the engine up
search the FAQ thread at the top, grab a beer and read up
then come back with your questions

lol wow... and I thought you guys were bein hard on me... and he hasn't even said anything yet.
Hey, djurchicprelude... just dont take any of it to heart... I have learned that when these guys get the same questions all the time, they tend to get a little harsh.
And that search feature they are talking about, it really does answer 9 out a 10 of my questions... mostly cuz im a noob too. If you cant find an answer, search some other sites and THEN ask the forum if you still dont know whats up.
My noob opinion would say an intake and header/exhaust system would do you the most good for around 1000... but if you already have those then just figure out what works best for you via that search button.

Get some rope and tie a big tree to the rear.......then practice practice practice. When racing or doing a drag just cut the tree off. Your car builds muscle when it trained with a tree tied to it........It works.

Hell, why spend all you're money to lighten it!!! All you need to race is the frame, tires, engine, tranny, and cockpit. Dump anything that does'nt do anything important (i.e.- body panels, doors, fat girlfriend, etc.) and you'll be flyin in no time.

dude, I went to Wal-Mart and bought some cardboard boxes and designed my own wing, stickers, and wheels for less than $50, depending on how many boxes you buy and how creative you are. I heard NOS doesn't work too well for a stock engine, so I didn't make one of those yet. I'm a newbie too, so I'm not allowed to post any pictures or else I would. I really would too. I can definitely feel the increase in power cuz cardboard is so light like. Better than carbon fiber if you ask me. In my hood G, it really is very tight, yo.
Maybe I can make a DIY and post it on this forum.
