Default So I Put In The AEM Cold Air Intake...

But I'm wasting gas like crazy with it. Is there any way to get the ratio even or thats just something I have to deal with??

Take your negative battery terminal off for at least one full minute. This will rest your ECU. When you connect the negative cable, the ecu will automatically re-configure the air/fuel ratio.

heres your solution.....get off the ******* accelerator..........

every time you get a mod, your gas milege will shoot down 5mpg for the next few tanks, its inevetable.........CAI's should help gas milege, but yet personally, mine shot to around 17-18mpg city.......the solution, new plugs (of course i replaced my fouled plugs with $8 platinum Champion plugs that i didnt gap, and thus are running a little bit smaller gap than i think i should be at ), reset the ecu, and stay out of vtec/flooring it........i now can get around 350mpt (mostly highway, and except when my temp gauge statrs shooting up.... )

I wasn't real impressed when I got my CAI (also AEM) I think its all psychological; you get a part that's supposed to increase horsepower so you drive like you're Michael Shumaucher (sp?). Because its not like an intake is gonna pin you in your seat. But that's just me....

vtec is noticable (sound wise), and the car seemed a bit peppier in the upper RPMs.........

Do you have dyno proof or is this just from the butt dyno?

ya i say just lay off the gas anything over 3g RPM's isa takeing on a lot more gas (correct me if im wrong) so just try not to push it to much and i know its hard because the sonds the new mods give to the cars are a nice change..... good luck

I hate to sound like a newb, but you have to take the negative terminal off the battery when the car is off right? Otherwise you lose your ground and you could fry some sh**. Sorry for the lack of knowledge on that one...just curious because mine is running rich with my short ram so i figured i would give it a shot.
