Default Intake question

OK im wondering if my AEM cold air intake is killing my gas mileage. I was running an AEM short ram and I was getting about 340 miles per tank and now with the cold air intake im gettin about 270 i thought cold air intakes get better gas mileage? Could it be due to the fact that the cold air intake is wider than the short ram intake?

You are probably just spending more time in VTEC.

In theory, gas milage should be better with less air flow restriction (however much of a decrease that is). But knowing the average driver, they'd spend more time in higher engine speeds and under more throttle.
