i was recently racing my car but i missed putting it in thrid gear and accelerated past the 8400 rpm my vafc reads 8483. Is going past the red line bad for the engine or is 8483 about right ??? could some plz tell me what are the negative things about going past the redline ?? thanks

 

i once went from 3rd to 2nd while meanin to goin to 4th.. i've never seen my tach go up that high.. nothing turned out wrong though... 8483 rpms isn't going to hurt anything...
