Default Coil Packs on a h22

has anyone tried putting coil packs on a h22 yet and what did you do to acheive it? I've seen quite a few allmotor cars that did it, but I never really looked to see how it was setup

something like that? You'll need to run a standalone with either 2 or 4 coil outputs (2 would leave you as wastefire) and likely some sort of CDI box (AEM or MSD would both work) as the CBR coils have too great a draw at least for a AEM EMS. Any particular reason you're looking at converting?? IMHO unless you're running a nasty allmotor setup or high-boost FI it's unneeded. I only converted after running into spark issues at higher boost.

They're shaved 929 coils and the lip is notched on the valvecover...I did a small how-to on the AEM forum awhile back on getting them to fit a H-series. The pics are here: http://ian.clendaniel.net/gallery/DIS

you need the cam positioning sensors etc for the coils to fire etc.... you pretty much answered your own question.. one of these days he's goin to make a machined plate for the cap, the sensors however will need to stay....
