i need to get a new jdm bumper for my R. i want metal not fiberglass who all makes the metal ones besides mugen and the oem one...any suggestions and where can i find them...thanx

 

they are not metal, oem bumpers are poly-urethane

I'm thinking you maybe thinking about the Hood and side fenders which I know some sell those in Fibreglass but the OEM is metal. The normal front end is made out of plastics.

 

OEM bumpers are urethane, are you thinking of the bumper reinforcement, that is metal.

 

actually fiberglass is better, easy to repair...

 

He probably thinks that they are metal because people post stuff like "OEM Metal JDM ITR Conversion for sale.''

Is your front end OEM? Metal bodykits and lips. Puhahahaha

oh thanx for the replies i could of sworn the mugen was metal....i have the fiberglass bumper and all it does is chip and crack...its only on the lip can i just get a differnt lip to cover it up that wont chip as easy?

 

why dont you get the spoon lip?

 

any fiberglass front body panel will chip or crack. your best choices are to get something like 3M stoneguard or get an OEM bumper.

They do make oem metal bumpers. If you have a truck

OEM is urethane, but great quality. Fiberglass chips from impacts. DO what SAGA said, go get the Spoon Lip.
