How long do Azenis really last?
The RE010s are almost gone and I have been looking at the Azenis, but I'm worried about how long they will last? From what I have heard they will last longer than the RE010s but how much longer? I got almost 16000 out of the REs with one auto-cross and a little hard street driving but the rest was just around town stuff. I do understand that this is ultra high performance tire and is not going to last as long as most tires, but how many miles should I expect to get out of the Azenis with the type of driving described before?

I'll be getting a set of Azenis pretty soon too... As long as they perform like everyone says and last longer than stock (which they should based on the treadwear rating), then I'll be happy!
well they have a 200 treadwear rating. my dunlops have a 200 rating and they lasted more than 30,000 miles. that includes 2 auto-x's and more than 40 passes at the dragstrip. but the azenis (in 205/50/15) have 2/32 less tread than my dunlops (in 195/55/15). and they say that not all treadwear ratings are the same between companys.

Thanks for all of the responses I called discount and they said they are only $65 for the 205/50/15 so I think I'll be ordering them this weekend. I know I need to get to more auto-X's but I always have soccer games on sundays and thats when the scca events are here in Texas are. Next season I'm going to try to get to a few more in the beggining of the season but you never know how things will turn out.

You'll really enjoy the Azenis' for autoX. I just recently switched to them as my street tire and have been really happy. I did one run at the last auoX of the season on the Azenis and was stunned by ehir performance... so close to driving like an R compound tire and cheap enough to use on the street
Ill point Austin to this thread.... his are gone already.
, 120+ miles at the itrEXPO, 4 autocrosses, 4 trips down the drag strip, about 100 dyno runs. Two of my tires have "soft spots" on the inside, I have the 215-45/16 mounted on Mugen MF-10's, 43mm offset(which I believe is my reason for the accelerated wear on the inside). The outside of the tires are around 2/3 of the wear that the inside have...I drove the crap out of these tires, wish they had lasted longer, guess that I need to get a camber kit to run the current rim offset and large tires(the 215's are waaaayyy larger than the Nitto Nt-450 205-40/16, and the Toyo FZ4 205-50/16)You can't beat them for performance to dollar ratio.
