Default koni yellows, trying to torque the top two bolts

i have another question about the koni yellows. where you adjust the firmness setting of the konis there are two bolts that you torque down to 22 ft lbs. i tried torquing the first bolt to 22 ft lbs and probably only will torque down to 15 before the whole shaft begins to spin. is it that you are supposed to torque the top locking bolt down to 22 ft lbs because if thats the case the shaft is still spinning. is it a big deal that it is torqued down correctly? i can see a little under an inch of thread sticking out. im not too sure if that is too much or too little, i would suppose to little, but just checking.

I have a set lying around, but I have no clue what you're talking about.
If you're talking about mounting the shaft to the upper mount, "tight" will do it. With the right bushing and ring installed it should grip the shaft to make it stop spinning. If it's spinning you're probably a spacer ring short.

To the original poster:

You will probably be fine with how they are now. If you really want to torque the nuts to the proper spec, then you need to use a crow's foot adapter (remembering to adjust your torque setting for the extra leverage), & hold top of the shaft with a small open end wrench (you will see the flats on the very top of the shaft).

That's one idea, anyway.
