Default Gonna be going with a firewall MAP and B18a TB, question on coolant lines

Hi guys,

I decided to use a B18a (I think its a B18a) TB with my setup instead of my GSR TB. I just wanted to double check to see if it matters which coolant lines hook up to what.

There are two outlets on the bottom of the TB that I will be using, I was gonna run the one right beneath the TB opening and run that to the outlet on the IM flange. Then I was gonna run the coolant line from the IACV on the back of the IM and run that to the coolant outlet on the FITV (below and to the right of TB).

I just wanted to see if this way was fine, or if I had it backwards.

Thanks

The line under the TB opening goes to the (I believe its called) IACV (the unit on the rear of the IM, and the fitv spout looking one goes to the coolant hose by the runners on the IM near the left most fuel injector.

Cool thanks, I just wanted to make sure. That line under the TB threw me off, because it was curved away from the IACV/EACV.

BTW Ryan, I got my alternator with the round plug in the mail. Unfortunately, my funds got too low so I couldn't afford to get a rental car. Since I had to buy a alternator I went ahead and bought a new fuel filter, and I am gonna go ahead and get a 90-93 Teg clutch cable too. I'll probably try to knock out this swap after my next payday. That way if anything unexpected comes up I'll have more then enough money to take care of the problem. This week though, I'm breaking apart the motor and taking it to the hobby shop where it will be assembled. I took out my passenger seat in the CRX and I am gonna sit the shortblock right there next to me. Head, IM and tranny go in the trunk. I'm gonna take pictures of all that as soon as I have everything in the car.

Sweet man, looking foward to it! Ya the line under the TB is curved in the opposite direction on the b18a. Longer Hose?

Yah, since the tube is facing the opposite direction, I'm gonna have to need a longer coolant hose. I have two 5" lengths of coolant hose laying around, so I'm just gonna get a brass barbed fitting, and connect connect some of these extra hoses together.

yeah like someone mentioned ealier that unit under the TB is the FITV, one line goes to the IACV and the other goes to the coolent opening right under the breather hole in the valve cover...heres my FITV write up i did a few months ago it explains everything regarding the FITV....
