Alright lude guys I want your opinions on my troubles. I have a 00 civic hatch with an h22. My problem is Today when runnin it at the strip it was great for about 4 runs then all of a sudden I am missin 2nd and 3rd everyrun. even if I let off and take my time still doesnt like to shift in at higher rpms? Then after lettin it sit for a bit I got in to leave and it wont go into reverse? I am thinkin it is a clutch adj issues? seems spongy but doesnt slip??? still after driving home all gears just not reverse and I had a cable come off the tranny before but they are all tight this time? Do H22s shift well around 8G ? what is the answer? what clutch to buy???
Thanks guys..
Mike

i would check the tranny fluid and also your clutch fluid. I also wouldnt recommend banging the **** out of gears. Fast but not crazy.
I run a act organic disk with their xtreme pressure plate and that is plenty for street/strip.

yes the h22 is stock other than bolt ons. Was running mid to lower 14s when it started acting up.. The thing still should be able to handle some gear banging. I wish it was a B series tranny. god dang
Thanks..

today it still wont go into gear. I checked out all of the linkages they are all fine and clipped.. then the clutch slave fluid or whatever and that is full no air bubbles??? WTF?? can it be the clutch is too worn to let it get in the far right gears?? only can get in 5th while driving.. still no reverse EVER...
Thanks
Mike
Thanks

hrm.. so you think it is internal then? just by missin a few gears? If these trannys are that **** I am in for a long racing summer...
Any other options... are there any thing else that would make it not let it shift to reverse??

i shift my h tranny at 8k and never had a problem other than my linkages going out...a freind of mine had your same problems....theres a rod just inside tranny where the lever, the one thats connected to the linkage goes into the top of the tranny we took that off and he had broken off a bolt that holds your lever arm to the rod that selects each gear...his problems sounds exactly like what your describing, i wish i had a diagram i could show you, if that doesnt make sense on what u want to look for ill try explaining it anohter way

so pull the tranny and there is something I have to replace?? not a shift fork though??? something minor?? or could it be a linkage bent or something..

no no...dont pull the tranny, if you look down on top as your looking at the tranny in the car..youll see where the cables connect to a little lever, theres a piece you can take off and in effect see un where the llever goes into the tranny, theres a rod that slides through and moves the geras...its held onto the shfting lever you can see by a bolt, my freinds broke therefore when he tried to put it into gear it wouldnt, i would check this first...BTW you can do this all from under the hood
