Are used cams ok???
Someone wants to sell me some crower stage2 cams, valve springs and titanium retainers. He says that they have 7,000 miles on them. I dont really know much about cams and the type of abuse that they take. So i guess what im saying is do cams wear out, is there anything bad i should look for when im buying used cams?

99% of engines out there use 1 set of cams thier entire life span. If properly maintained and tune-ups are performed as required, those same engines will also lose very little performance over it's life. To put it simply, 7000 miles on a set of cams is not enough time to put significant wear on them. If the price is right, I would say go for it and always under bid what they ask, remember the parts are used. good luck
find out what year the cams were made, and look for external damage on them, the first batch of crower cams were not very good and cracked a lot but there new batches are very good
