Default 200 whp NA h23 setups

Im aiming for about 200 whp, NA out of my 4th gen prelude,
What would you do?
h22 swap or build up the h23?
id rather build up the h23, anybody got around that much out of their h23's?
If so could you post up your setups.
thanx

Your going to be hard pressed to achieve 200whp NA on a H23. Performance na parts aren't even that well supported for the h23. I'd say either get an H22, or just a H22 head.

It's quite expensive, I suggest you either turbo the h23 or get a H22.

I just want to see some NA h23 setups
, oh yeah im building this car for road racing /autocrosing, so i dont want anything too aggressive , which is why i dont want turbo or supercharger

150whp isn't hard. cams, good exhaust, intake, hondata and you're looking at +150whp

running minimum boost on a turbocharger won't be very aggressive but still give you that 200 whp. That's about the only way you can achieve that power, which makes me sad (building an h23 as we speak) but it's just a fact of life.

you could get 150whp w/ I/H/E, depending if the engine is in good health

there is a baseline dyno plot in that thread of mine....

that thread contains my 60 shot of n2o dyno graph

just so you know there was NA h23 auto lude being sold a while back that made 200whp+

you can get pistons and cams for the h23 but rebuilding it is gonna cost you about $$2500 i put a little over $1000 in just my head with the springs retainers cams and all the new gaskets

Have you done much autocrossing/"roadracing" yet? For autocross, (If you're in SCCA), internal work, turbo, or SC will put you in classes that that the prelude will not be competitive in (ie. waste of money if you want to be competitive) For real road-racing (not lap days or HPDE), most racing organizations/classes (such as Honda-Challenge) will not let you run with a turbo or SC. H1 would be the only class that you could run a built up H23 engine & you would get severely spanked by 2100 lb hatchbacks making 200HP. If you really wanted to set-up the Prelude for competitive autocross or roadracing, the money would be better spent on a good suspension
