Default running rich after IM/gasket install?

what's up everyone...

ok, so i've had my car tuned with hondata for over 6 months and it ran great, got awesome gas mileage (around 30mpg) and was basically like a new car... two days ago i installed a aebs IM and outlaw engineering thermoblok gasket set. now my a/f gauge is pegged in the green, running rich as hell. black smoke out the tailpipe and i can smell the gas/burning my eyes.

do you guys think that swapping those two items would have affected my tune that drastically?

im running a ls/vtec with dsm injectors/GEM rail/walbro pump. the old IM was either a first or second gen. b16 IM.

I would say, check your injectors to see if one of them got broken while changing the IM and maybe it got stuck open.

It sounds a lil odd that an IM would threw the maps that much off

BTW: in which part of the powerband is the car running richer? all the time?

yeah, i will check the injectors out... it is pretty odd that it's running so rich. the car doesnt stumble or anything, it drives fine except for the larger consumption of fuel. it is running rich throughout the entire powerband. the only time it goes stoich is when i let off the gas :-p
