Default JDM Distributors...

Considering purchasing a product from Distributor King, but the application for my car (99 GS-R, OBDII) is a JDM one. It reads:

96+ DOHC Civic SI, Integtra Type-R & GSR, JDM OBDII "B" Series

Part#:TD84, TD81

Description: Compatible With OEM# TD81U, TD84U, TD86U & TD87U
· 96+ GSR
· 96+ Type-R
· 96+ Civic Si W / “B” Series Engine

Should i have any problems installing this? Will it bolt right on?

any 96+GSR Distributer should fit your car, the engine harnesses are bascilly the same you should be aight, if you had a pic of the plugs I would be able to tell.

It should fit, Dist. King is in my book.

The rotor that it comes with it does not have a screw hole/screw but you can buy a OEM Rotor and will screw on fine.

Also if you have MSD, the MSD cap will not fit w/o modification.

Thanks guys for the replies. Yeah i've read that the rotor that comes with the Dist. King doesn't have a screw and can simply be yanked by force of hand. I don't get it though...will i need a new rotor cuz the one supplied isn't good enough? Or were you just talking about something I might have to do later?

And nah i don't have MSD ignition, nor will i probably for a while, seeing as my car is bone stock

I would personally get a OEM rotor and screw instead of the Dist. King's

That 's just me.

For my ITR motor, it's like $18.95 at Acura.
