went to the track - nitrous barely did anything
took the 4th gen to the track today
motor
.558 RT
2.34 60'
9.324 @ 83.6mph 1/8
14.02 @ 102.4mph 1/4
zex 55 dry shot
.440 RT
2.26 60'
9.116 @ 84.17 1/8
13.79 @ 103.0mph 1/4
I had a full bottle and it was nice and hot too. raced into the wind. i launced pretty good but its still crappy without slicks. i granny shifted it too because my trans is touchy. i retarted the timing so much and shifted lower and slower with the nos, so the performance wasn't that much better.
to zex
mods: b16a with milled head, CTR cams, EF1 valvetrain, ITR intake, 65mm TB, 6 puck, R active 4-2-1, + more. check my link for full deails.

yeah learn to drive man don;t knock zex. i have mad success with it. going from all motor od 15.3 to 13.5 on 55 shot and 13.2 on 65. so learn to drive
what do you mean learn to drive? it was spraying the whole time. it just didnt pull any harder. maybe something is wrong with my box, or maybe i have like a 30 jet or something. i dont know, i dont like dry shots.

With my 50 shot, on a hot day when I hit the nitrous, the tires would start screeching, sometimes breaking loose. So if you didn't feel that much of a difference, then there is a problem.

how much did you retard it? you don't need to retard it at all
what PSI was the bottle?

He said it was nice and hot.
You need to check your pills ASAP, you might be running dangerously lean or stupid rich.

I took 1.3 sec off with a ZEX 55 shot and that was with very shitty 60 ft times. Your **** isn't jetted right or something. You even had a better 60' when you sprayed. You should be able to run low 13's if you get you 60' times down closer to 2.0 and get your nitrous set up right.
dont tell him to learn how to drive lokk at the mph if 55 horses was fifty five horses wouldnt you pick up more then .6mph???????
how much did u pull back the timing. shouldnt be more than a degree or 2 with the 55 shot. also hopefully you have a good fuel pump in there because the zex kit relies on increased fuel pressure to provide the extra enrichment for the nitrous. look at those 2 as possible problems and fix them if necessary and try again.
drive it like u stole it and im sure itll ride out better

i did figure something out: the zex sprays into the fuel pressure regulator... i have a b&m regulator and it was spiking the pressure too high. i noticed alot of smoke while spraying. that would make a 50 shot into a 20.
Ummm, the nitrous should be spraying into your intake tube. The vacuum line(I hope that's what you have hooked up to your fuel pressure reg.) that goes to your regulator basically forces air into it to clamp down on the fuel more increasing fuel pressure, so yeah if your fuel pressure is set too high you'll run way rich in the upper RPM range. When you run rich it kinda feels like you run into a wall, all of a sudden power drops off. What is your fuel pressure set at?
