15's 16's or 17's
what rim size would you choose and why? the why is very, very important.
what tire would you use /w the combo?
------i have acess to any of these sizes at a great price, the shop is trying to sell me on 17's.. but from what i think i understand, 16's have the advantages of weight, tire price, and performace? <--dont know why------------
car = 94 integra ls, white. currently sitting on the (5 star) old style alloys avail that year.

What kind of car is this going to be on? What rims are you looking at/comparing? Certain rims look whack in certain sizes, on certain cars, with certain tires, certain drops, etc....

U need to search first of all!
The general consensus seems to be that you get the smallest wheel that will fit over your brakes to avoid excess un-sprung weight and rotational inertia.
15" for speed / handling
16" compromise Bling + Speed / Handling
17" heavy + bling?
I have 17" rims for the bling

I got some 17's because they looked good. But now I kind of regret it. I should've went with 16's instead. Tires are cheaper to buy, cheaper to mount, more rubber for comfort, less noise, and most of them are also lighter.
My GSR came with the stock 15's and I currently have 15x6.5 Rotas with Azenis. I like them but feel that Integras look better with 16's which is why i'll be switching soon. Plus 16's wont hurt the performance like i feel that 17's or bigger would.

agreed! and they look nice when lowered to the tires

i choose 16's cause i think their perfect for fwd cars. though i am rocking the 17" right now cause they were practiacly FREE! so i'll drive on these for a bit. there not that much heavier then my 14"s with tires so its not toooo bad.
I used to have stock 14"s and went to 17" on my teg. Everytime I see 18's on a nice civic or teg I get a little envious, but over all I LOVE my rims. Sure, the ride is a bit harsher, tires are more expensive, car sits a lil higher, slower, but it is worth it.
Sorry but losing 20lbs of rotating mass from a 2600lb car isn't as important to me as getting laid. Wheels are the most noticed mod these days... go with 17s.

I think you can come up with better ways of getting laid then 1 extra inch of rim..
I have stock 15's (blades) im probly gonna trade or buy some 16s just for the mix of performance and style

It matters if you want more looks than performance you then you should get 16's. But if you want more performance than looks then get 15's. Either way i recommend yokohama avs es 100 tires. They are very good and very affordable too.

Exactly!!!
I guess the question is, what are YOU going to use the car/wheels for. Track? Daily? etc?
I have 3 set of wheels for my integra. One strickly track 15", one daily 15" and I just picked up a set of 16" that I am looking to trade for another set of 16"
Remember tire cost for 16" is 20-40% higher than for a 15" rim. I think 16" are the biggest I would go, on a teg.

i have 17's now.. on a 2.0 drop all around. was nice, but now im going to do a little experment. im going to go slap on my 14's now.. or the stock steelies that came with my DA and see if i can feel a difference. tires are shot to **** but i'll try it anyways.
i have 17's now, i want to go to 16's, cuz i want a bigger rim then the stock ones, but still want some rubber, cuz i dont like this 40 sidewall. i want 45.. or if i could find a good set of blades, i'll go for those too.
