Default Edelbrock D16 turbo kit in EF hatch

Is it possible to put the Edelbrock D16 turbo kit into a 1990 civic hatch si? I know the engine's are roughly the same (with the exception of the D16A6 engine being non-vtec and all) and also the battery locations are different, so would there be any major fabrication or would it still fit about the same?

I'm pretty sure you would have to re-do some of the intercooler piping. Also, you would probably have to do some modifications to get the intercooler mounted as well. I don't think it's anything major as long as you have access to a welder and maybe a plasma.

A far as the electrconics go you're gonna need to convert to either OBD-1 or OBD-2 if you want the CARB legal kit

If not then I'd go with the "track" kit you can go DSM 440s + Turboedit and save some $$$

ditto.
everything should work just fine. you'll have to relocate the battery.

but i don't think that kit is the best bang for buck. i love that turbo but that KIT is overpriced bigtime!

not now, 2700 open track from wired speed lab. Greddy kit with intercooler is 2100 about, without intake manifold, and other nice stuff.

I would peice a turbo kit together. Just as much, your get what you want and your probably will create more power. Also down the road if you decided to build you won't have to upgrade if you get the right parts.

I have the 1503 kit, open track. The kit rocks!

Definitely a good buy. Other than something custom, the price will compare if not beat the others once you buy all the parts for the others!
