My car has been up for sale for a little while and last week I recieved a call on the R from a guy who kept calling from a number that came up as "private" on my cell. He wanted to meet at a nearby mall to check out the car, but I didnt feel comfortable (a guy here in town was murdered a few years back for his truck the same way). I had another guy coming over that night, so I invited the guy over to see it at the same time. Gave him directions, etc. I asked him for a number to reach him at and he was like, "I just moved down from NJ, and dont have a phone yet... or I will call you right back." After not hearing from him for a few hours, and it was raining, I left and got a call from my family that he had stopped by after driving up and down the street a few times (the R was locked up in the garage).

The guy never called back after that and 3 days later, my neighbors Integra was stolen from out in front of his house. Let me add that this is the 1st time in 10 yrs of living here i can think of a car theft in my neighborhood...

What do you think? Same guys came looking for #1004 and settled for another teg? I think so, but who knows.

Normally I would not have cared and just bankrolled for the insurance $, but I have a guy coming with $ money next week to buy the R. I think she will stay in the garage...


Cliffs: Thugs called repetedly from private number, and came by but no R. 3 days later neighbors Integra stolen.

anyone that sells or buys stuff that refuses to give out their phone number. something is fishy about them. and when their number is blocked. i usually dont even answer it.

 

That is scarey. Sorry for your brother. That is horrible. That's four posts in one week on Integra thefts. It scares me just to think what the number is a night, across America.

Good idea of keeping it locked up in the garage. I agree with everyone else. Don't answer blocked calls. I also refuse to talk to people if they cannot provide a legit phone number.

weather they are the seller or buyer. if they refuse to hand out their # and ask for your # only. it's usually means they got something to hide. or end up flaking on your ***. so u waste your time and gas money
