Does anyone know if our brakes are sequencial?
Does anyone know if our brakes are sequencial? b/c im looking to bleed my brakes soon b/c i just put in new brakes and when i step on the brakes the brake pedal falls down to the floor and then goes back up and thats not safe for stoping and someone told me to bleed them and i should be fine. i dont have ne leaks and o hope its not the master cylinder.
new brake's as in new brake pad's or calipers? if you get bigger calipers, your going to have to upgrade to a bigger master cuz they require more fluid then oem one's. if there just brakes.. if its a brake pad, then blead.. also how old is your master?
to me either two things are happening here..
1, you got air in the lines, so when you press on the pedal, it goes down cuz it hits an air pocket, then gets hard once the pocket passes
2, your master cyl. valve inside, that hold's the fluid pressure in the brake line's is going out.. there for, you need a new master.
i guess you can just do process of elimination.. do the easiest first, try bleeding the brake's first.. if that doesnt help, look at the master cyl. oh and make sure to check all your brake lines too, in the fender well
