b18b block with b18c5 head?
i am planning on putting a itr head onto the ls b18b block. i have been reading some of the other peoples opinions on the subject and they are saying it is a cheap way to make power.
this is my plan i am going to put toda sieres-b cams and most likly mugen pistons and arp bolts and studs to help with the high tolerances of v-tec. what other kinds of things besides water and oil pumps from the itr will i need to used to be able to spin this engine to 9600 rpms and do it reliably?

i cant tell if youre trolling or not, but ill give this a shot....
1)i dont think mugen makes pistons
2) use vtec oil and water pumps
3) get some sort of block girdle to keep it all stable at 9600 along with some cams that actually make power up there and a valvetrain that can handle it.

i am going with the todas because they are made for the v-tec engines and make power all the way to 9600 rpms and where and would i get girdle? and toda springs and retainers.
will i have problems if i dont balance the crank at that high of an rpm?

You can get a girdle from a GS-R motor but then you have to have some machine work done to the mains. Youd probably just be better off getting one from here...

As far as balancing goes there are varying opinions on this. Some say honda cranks are balanced well enough from the factory, but i think its good insurance to go ahead and have your crank balanced by a pro. Ls cranks were never meant to spin that fast.
