Default D15B2 to JDM D15B Swap worth it?

I currently have a D15B2, and I'm looking for an upgrade, obviously who wouldn't. I don't want to have to mess with motor mounts, transmission linkages etc. like a B series swap so I was looking into the JDM D15B, or maybe a mini-me swap. Then I take it over to an older friends house and his dad says that I could keep the motor I have and just port and polish it, and get higher compression pistons and make more horsepower than the JDM D15B, which I see is close to 130hp. Is that really possible? Is it really worth it? Anyone have any experience porting/polishing changing pistons on a D15B2? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a '90 CRX HF with the D15B2 and Si cam I/H/E
