Just a little thought.....i'm bored......join in my boredom.
If Allmotorpacman's adapter plate allows for the B tranny to H motor and the net weight difference is only 10 to 20 lbs compared to the "heavy" h tranny/ h motor swap..........Which would make a better Auto-X/ Track car? In my head i'm think the H motor is going to be stronger and probably more effective.....HOWEVER, i know very little about H series motors, except that they are closed deck blocks.
Just a thought........sounds pretty tempting if you could start off with a nice 2.2 block and still have track worthy handling characteristics.
Any thoughts? Just for fun.

Actually not all H motors are closed deck. The newer ones are open deck.
If the plate is perfected where you don't have to modify the B series tranny then I might think about getting one.
After all H series in the CRX with Turbo do sound better for some reason.
I don't know about autocross cause I never done that.
But I am bored too.

That's what i was thinking.
But, i have heard that h motors are slightly overrated on power and tourque.......possibly just a rumor........or maybe its the h series tranny eating all the power.....hmmmmmmm

Building a strong B-Series would net you better results right? Straights are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers. The H series are heavy, take up lots of engine room, need more fabrication than you'd think. I myself would build a b20block and a b16 head. Sleeve and go boltons. Also, like I said, the H series are heavy, I've heard turning with 1 of those up front is near impossible. - Darrell

Hmmm......perhaps if you didn't read the part where i said just an extra 10 to 20 lbs using Allmotorpacman's adapter plate which would allow you to discard the HUGE H tranny and thus make the weight difference very negligable in theory.
