Default F22 vtec head on F22 non-vtec bottom-end???

Did a quick search and couldn't find anything. Can you bolt a F22B1 vtec head onto a F22B2 non-vtec bottom-end? Throw the vtec computer in the car and basically have a F22 vtec? Similar to the D16A6 bottom-end with a D16 vtec head in the civics?

Also, do the F22B1 and F22B2 transmissions have different gearing?

Errr, think about this for a second. You have a vtec head, and you have an ecu for a vtec motor, what is actuating the solenoid?

I believe it is very similiar to a minime in the dseries.

Well, you would have to run a wire from the pin on the ecu to the vtec solenoid. But I just curious if the head will bolt-in and the ecu will plug up.

Gearing should be the same...

But here is a write up for putting a f series vtec head on a non vtec f series block. (although its a f22a versus b2 its the same principle)

15hp and 8ft-lbs of torque for a couple hundred bucks isn't worth it? thats cheaper than a cat-back exhaust.

Also, are the F22B1 and F22B2 intake manifolds different?
