I ran 15.6 fully stock with a b16 so yeah it would make a difference but if you were going to the trouble of a VTEC swap you may as well go for a B18C, the B16 is too small an engine for an Integra IMO.

I'm thinking about it but limited funds. Is there any other alternative?

check this thread out, maybe you can make an all motor mod to the motor you have, and get better times without dropping too much money...........forget LS/vtec.........with the money you spend on a good LS/vtec, you can go turbo more reliably.........but here's a LS all motor link with some good mods:

When you said S1, did you mean u have the JDM S1 tranny or the stock LS S1 tranny? If its the stock LS tranny, get the JDM S1, that should drop your time a little bit.

true, even the 92-93 integra tranny should help, it came on the 92-93 gsr. I think it was the ys1 tranny, but I'm not sure.

yeah, you see 2nd gen tegs reaching the 14's with b16 swaps, but it's not so much the b16 motor that's getting them there as much as it is the jdm b16 tranny.

Now i really am considering a b16 swap. I hope to run low 13s. Still considering options to lower my times.

just pick up the jdm tranny mentioned above by the Bee guy, and swap out the cams on your ls motor.........for the amount of money you're going to spend on swapping in a b16 swap and then modding it to reach 13's; you'd be better off getting the tranny, and working on the LS motor.

by the way, good times for your teg

I already have a JDM S1 trans. Thats how i got soo good of a time. With my original tranny, i would run high 16s

ahhhhhh, for me cause I should have read your first post more carefully. I thought that was a great time for a 91 teg
then yeah, a b16 would help, but not as much as you would think........you could see 14.89 (someone I know did that with a b16 2nd gen teg), but they had also taken off a bunch of stuff from their car for weight reduction.

consider a slight rebuild of your motor (gaskets mainly), and turbo

turbo! even a small one like a t25 will make an impressive difference to your time!

i would go FI just because of the TORQUE gains as well as the hp, if you swap you still will have no torque

Would a short geared tranny be worse for a turbo teg?

why does everyone say they have a slippy clutch. stock LS motor shoudl not make any clutch slip. unless he totally wasted it tryin to burn off or something
