Went to the local 1/8.....results inside...
Ok so I haven't been to my local track for a good 3 months now, my car was recently down due to a busted clutch master cylinder. I replaced the master cylinder two days ago and decided to go to the track since I also recently added a GReddy header and modified the collector to 2.5 and removed my high flow cat. I did improve from my best time from before which was a 9.2x, although the weather was in the low to mid 80's I managed to drop off .2 tenths from my previous best. Here are the results from tonight. I will post a vid later on.
my best two runs were the following
R/T... .768
60'... 2.045
330... 5.872
1/8... 9.062
mph... 77.11
R/T... .696
60'... 2.028
330... 5.851
1/8... 9.235 <--- missed 3rd
MPH... 74.01
I'm sure that if on the second run I wouldn't of had missed 3rd I could of pulled off an 8.9x but o well'
I had about 5 runs but the other 3 included mis-shifts or bad launches so no need to post those. I'm not satisfied though because after the master cylinder install my car doesn't feel the same, I have some free play on the clutch pedal up top and I've already bleeded the clutch several times. Hopefully I can fix this problem and I'll be at the track next week with some small upgrades.

Thanks for the comments, imma gonna head out next to the track again this upcoming week, before I go again I'm going to add an AEM alternator pulley and a lightened crank pulley and remove the balancer shaft belt, that should be good enough atleast for an 8.8
nice runs, are you running full slicks? my best 1/8th mile is 8.8 at 82mph..this was on crappy oversized BFG radials...i only managed a high 2.1 on that run...i think with slicks or even brand new correctly sized radials i could hit som 1.9s full slicks maybe even a 1.89 if i was lucky, i also like the greddy header...btw on your 14.1 at 96..do the slicks slow you down that much...i almost trapped 103 twice on my radials..just curious if you know your MPHs on street tires or drag radials..peace

Yea, I was running full slicks. I do think the slicks lower my trap speeds instead of helping them out. With Yokohama AVS ES100 tires back when I had only intake and exhaust I could trap at 76-77mph all night, I once even pulled off a 9.1x with the yoko's. I've been deabating on going next week to the track and just running on my Yoko's, with the Yoko's I cut some mid 2.1.x 60' times. But i'll see.

After the slicks wear out I'm gonna probably get some BFG drag radials, I've herd nothing but good things about those tires. Can anyone give me some feedback on their experiences with them?
