Bridgestone Potenza S-03s 195/50/15 on sale for $83
I like the S03s obviously.. but use tirerack to compare the different tires using their customer surveys.. the S03s are excellent dry AND wet tires.

I have Bridgestone RE 730 205/50/R15s - I think the 205/50s are a better tire cause they are lower profile and slightly wider
i have 205/50 toyo fz4's
dont' get them their good for awhile but i took them to the street races
and the track, and worn them out bad...now they dont' grip as good..anD!
they cost too much.
needs a pair of slicks

cool with those two.
the others are not the most fun to drive on if you like corners.

Hey Owen -
Can you comment on the Bridgestones in snow/wet weather? I'm in Ohio so that's a concern for me. Also, why did you recommend those in 195 vs. 205 like you did for the Falkens?
Thanks!!!

actually Muckman is riding on the Bridgestones. He is in my city too so that is why I mentioned them, I have seen them up close, and Muckman loves them in the dry AND in the wet.
In the snow I bet they do okay, but will be nothing near as great as a quality snow/winter tire.
They do have many more grooves than the Falken Azenis, so they may be the better bet between these two choices if you plan on using them in the winter.
I say that 195/50 for the Bridgestones because that size is a special lower price thru tirerack.com which makes that specific size in your price range.
otherwise I would always go 205/50r15 on a teg or civic.

Owen, you seem to know your ****.
What will the 195/50 look like on stock wheels compared to the 195/55? Im gonna be getting new wheels soon, I hear the SO-3's are nice and tirerack gives them good scores. I would like to get a wider tire like the 205/50, but is it really worth the extra 50 bucks a tire. I really wanna get the SO-3's but is it worth if for 205/50 for like $125 or should i get some kumho 205/50 for like $75?

Go to Tire Rack and read all about what the size markings mean.

Don't believe that those SO3's will be any good in the snow. They will be terrible. They won't grip and they'll clog with snow. Read this thread, it applies to all summer tires.

You asked for tires, and nobody has yet asked you the most important questions. What will you use the tires for and are you looking for an all season or a summer tire? The answer to this should allow for better responses to your particular needs.

195/50/15
195 would be the width
50 profile
15 diameter of the wheel
Dont flame me for this one but, my experience with the Nitto nt450s were pretty good. they gripped very nice. especially for hard acceleration my 60ft times were better than a lot of my friends. but the tires were noisey.. they squeel around corners easily and arent quiet on the highway... but theres always the stereo to drown that out. but for $54 a piece its pretty nice, never got a chance to Auto-x but from what ive heard they suck for that. Theyre most def. better than the pos stock michellians.

I just need tires for every day driving.. I don't go to the track or anything like that... I just need a decent tire that will last, and that wears well......
Hope this can help...

Last and wears well...definitely the Kumho Ecsta 712's. I don't like 'em in the corners though. If you like cornering a lot, don't get the Kumhos. Instead, I'd recommend the Bridgestone RE730's. They last long and performance is great. They will be a bit more expensive than the Kumhos though.
730's. They're good for >20,000 miles and they grip well. They're summer only though...no snow. You are in FL so this will not be a problem.
They're fine in wet weather too...perform great.
