Default Fuel Pump? Lines? Something is FUBAR!! Help!

I took out my filter today, the stuff that came out wasn't pretty... it looked like rust. I'm thinking that when the mechanics cut the lines to splice/replace, they inadvertantly got something lodged into the lines. There is no fuel coming out when I prime the pump.... however, could it be a pump problem?

My car would only rev to 5k, then to 4k, then to 3k without bogging out, and it just got worse. The 02 code also came up. The longer it sat, or drove, the worse it got, until it won't reve past 1200. Apparently, there is NO pressure... is this what a bad pump does? I know that the pump turns on and flows, because I took off the lines near the pump... but how much is it supposed to flow?

Thanks guys!

It should be about 45-46psi so tosay the least it should be pumping a good amount of fuel out. My guess is the pump could be on it's last leg. I had some really corroded lines on my hatch and had to repair a few, if any would have clogged they would have. also they are a good sized diameter I don't see that happening. I would drop the tank and disconnect the output line and drop the input in a cuo of gass and hook it up to a car battery and see if it has pressure right at the pump.

Time for a fuel pressure gage and regulator.
the gage will tell you what's up.
The impellar is probably shot.
