where to wire a tach in a cx?
If you're wiring in an aftermarket tach, tap into the blue wire that sits in the corner by your driverside shock tower.
Its a single blue wire, usually taped up and the connector is in a little rubber cover.

or a better way to do it so you dont have to run a wire through the firewall is tap the blue wire behind the gauge cluster. it makes for a cleaner engine bay if you dont have random wires in there. or yes there is the ex,si cluster which is direct plug and play.

http://www.ebay.com has many, search for civic cluster
okthe white wire is the illumination, you want that to come on when you turn on the headlights. the green is the signal wire. if you look at the wires behind the gauge cluster, you should find a blue wire, just tap into that.
