attn PROSPEED header peeps
k i just got miiine, but i need to knw a few things cuz the guys at the exhaust shop needed to know . 1. what kind of flange do i need? will a stock honda one work ? 2. will it replace the flexpipe? ? im a newbie . tried calling prospeed but they almost never pick up
also how long does it take to do ? cuz they said it would take 4 hours

ya i took it in and the guy said that removing the flexpip is bad . but if its aight then its allll goood . now what about a gasket ?
what type of material is the header made of? mild steel or stainless?
If its made of mild, i would STRONLY recommend putting a new flexpipe in line after the header. If its stainless then you should have no problems. Stainless is an all around stronger material and isnt really prone to cracking at the welds like mild is on this specific header. I like the design, its bad ***.

yea i went to a fairly small shop and they didnt have any flanges..
but yea mines mild steel, so i guese i should get a new flexpipe you say .. tomorow ill go to midas and see what they say, hopefuly they will have everything i need.

if you have a stock cat, they are probably going to have to cut the flange off the cat and use that. The flange that bolts to the cat is a weird size and type, at least from my experience and what the muffler guys said.
i got some flanges/gasket if you need to buy some
but id keep flexpipe on it at all cost, with all the threads of cracking and breaking, its not worth it to lose 500 bucks cause your didnt want to do it right!

damnit mike, i forgot all about the flex pipe till now.
**ordering**
I got my 2.5" flange and gaskets from Mike (kteller.com) and everything went perfectly.

Before IMHO, get it close to the header to take as much of the beating as possible rather then letting your exhaust or the header take it.
