Does it happen when you turn? If so its your axle.

Look inside the front tires and see if you see any greese flying everywhere.

Explain it a bit better.

Are you hearing it when you are inside the car or outside the car?
Is it after you have taken a long ride?
Where do you think it is coming from: the front or rear of the car?

Also, how many times is it happening? Really fast? Slow? Once? Repeatedly?

I wonder if maybe you're starting to hear a valve tick? Just a thought, but it's probably axles.

Can't really say it is the axles until he explains a bit better.

This may sound stupid, but make sure there's nothing between your dust shields and brake rotors i.e. stones or other debris.

Not axles then.

I am thinking maybe an engine mount, the exhaust moving a bit, etc...

What happens when, in neutral, you hit the gas, does it click also?

Ok, then we can exclude anything related the engine mounts and stuff.

THis is difficult to diagnos over a web connection.

How about if, from a dead stop, you let the car coast on its own, like on a hill, does it do it?

How about in reverse from a dead stop?

Ok so now we know that it is probably related to either the suspension or the tranny in some way...

I would suspect it is simply a loose of shaffing suspension component. You will have to get underneith the car and have a looksee. Have a friend over and try to identify what side it is coming from.

I don't think it is the axles. But you may want to try going in circles in reverse. If you hear a CONSTANT click, then it is the axles. But i doubt it.

You make sure you put the gears in all the way right? Im thinking you leave it out a little and when you start moving it will click and then go in once you start driving.

If you were missing a few teeth in the transmission youll be going in and out of gear and not having a good ride at all, atleast thats what i would see what happens.

This might sound like nothing but get your tranny flushed. How long ago did you do that if ever?
