don't mind the tq curve, that's the four stage vtech.

these b16's... no one takes advantage of them and revs them up to their potential.
honda engineers are smarter than to fall victim to laws of physics.

oh yeah........i'll believe that chart

if you're gonna make a fake chart, at least don't do it on MS Paint, and use data like "5250ish"

i think he was doing that as a joke or atleast i seriously hope it was a joke

i was looking for a good comparison because i saw a dyno chart that showed a CAI, Header and cat back on my MX6 2.5L making an extra 15hp and 20ft/lbs at the wheels so I wanted to see where a similar honda motor would stack up

so the fourth stage vtec didn't quite clue you in?

you can generally count on a 3-7hp increase, maybe up to 10hp, and a similar climb in torque, maybe a touch more.

why not as much as your MX6? well, besides having 900cc more, the b16 comes from the factory well tuned already.
if you threw in a dyno tune along with your modifications, you could squeeze another 2-3hp and ft-lbs of torque.

so wtf was the point of that modern finger painting then?

with quality parts, you'll see better than 7hp increase on a i/h/e. i'd say 10-15 untuned, 2-5 more tuned. the B16 might have a well tuned head from the factory, but is the i/h/e as good? without opening up either end of the air pump, the pump itself can't be as productive.

well yeah i had a good idea that a larger displacement motor will benefit more by better breathing mod's but i was just kinda wondering where the b16 would stack up. i just dont get how a 2.5 V6 puts out almost the same total output (164) as a 1.6. I know the torque is a whole hell of a lot more and that power builds much lower in the powerband but still that motor should be pushing 200hp...oh wait it does in the jdm KLZE version of course we dont get that here

let me know where you've found an I/H/E combo on any b-series that threw down 10-15 hp untuned on a stock motor.

there's almost 10 just from the intake alone. granted it's not a completely stock motor otherwise, but it's also on an ITR.....

i don't think it'd take too big of a leap of faith to think i/h/e would get you to 10.
